Our Mission
At Scandi Puzzle, we are dedicated to unearthing the complex social, architectural, and economic histories of towns forged by a single industry. The puzzle of how humans build community when forced together by pure industrial pursuit is a fascinating lens through which to view modern history.
Our team of amateur historians, architectural enthusiasts, and researchers compile data on settlements ranging from 19th-century textile utopias to isolated Appalachian coal camps. We aim to preserve the stories of the workers who lived in these unique environments.
Scandi Puzzle Zubell Ltd is an independent historical research project, not affiliated with any of the corporations, historical trusts, or municipalities mentioned across our digital archives.
